New to Waverly Baptist Church?
It's never easy visiting a new place. We get that and we want to help put you at ease. At Waverly Baptist Church we love Jesus. We strive to live like Jesus, though we are not perfect. We are a unified body of believers excited to see what God is doing in our midst. You will certainly be welcomed into our church and we look forward to seeing you on Sunday! Until then, here are a few common questions people have about our services.
Where should I park?
There is plenty of parking in the rear of the church. To access church parking coming from Rte. 460, simply take the second driveway just past the white Sanctuary building. Continue through that drive under the carport and into the rear parking lot. Our welcome center and children's area is located at the glass doors with the ramp in front. If you are coming from the east on Main Street, turn left into the driveway right in front of the white Sanctuary building and continue through that drive, under the carport into the back lot.

What should I wear?
Jesus isn't concerned with your clothing and neither are we. You will find that most people dress comfortably. Our pastor preaches in jeans and a nice shirt. We are more concerned with your heart than your clothing. If you feel led to wear a 3-piece suit, by all means wear it, but if you are more casual you will find that you will fit right in, as most of our people wear casual attire. Don't let clothing be a stumbling block to being in church, however, we do ask that whatever you wear be modest in appearance.

What about my Kids?
We love kids here at Waverly Baptist Church. We believe that our kids are the church now, not in the future. We make children a priority and take their safety seriously as well. Our volunteers have all been through a background check and our check-in process makes sure they go home with you and no one else. Our kids area is adjacent to the Welcome Center area as you walk in which makes it convenient, especially for first time guests. During the Sunday School hour we have a children's class that meets and during the service our kids are dismissed to children's church after the music. Worship as a family, or allow our volunteers to love on your kids, that is totally up to you!

What are services like?
Our worship service is held in our Sanctuary at 10:45am. While our building is traditional, our services are not. We engage in vibrant contemporary worship and prayer. Our pastor preaches expository sermons, verse by verse through books of the Bible. Generally, our services last about 1 hour and 15 minutes. If you plan to visit with us, we do not ask you for money nor will we call you out or embarrass you. However, we will ask that you fill out a connection card which can be found in the pew backs. We would love to get to know you better and once you have filled out a connection card, simply place it in the offering box. That's it, it couldn't be an easier!
